Coimbatore: Karthik, the Students Wing Coordinator of Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) slammed the Central Government stating that the New Education Policy proposed by the Modi Government was a scam.
Coimbatore: Karthik, the Students Wing Coordinator of Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) slammed the Central Government stating that the New Education Policy proposed by the Modi Government was a scam.
Addressing the media at the Coimbatore Press Club, Karthik opined that the Modi Government's New Education Policy was a scam. "It is the State Government that should be the one to formulate the Education Policy. Modi's Government is interfering with the rights of the State Governments. On behalf of the Students Wing, we are opposing the New Education Policy by initiating a signature movement and will also be escalating the issue to the public through campaigns," stated Karthik.
Karthik also slammed the Central Government for holding secret meetings on the New Education Policy and said that the proposed policy was not written in regional languages. "We did not get enough time to read the policy which was over 400 pages. We are planning to get more than a lakh signatures with regard to opposing this New Education Policy and very soon we will be having a seminar on the same at Chennai, led by Seeman," revealed Karthik.
Vijayaraghavan from the State Youth wing, Coimbatore Regional Secretary Wahab, Coimbatore District Coordinator Raj Kishore and Perarivalan were also present during the media briefing.
